Why is the fiber optic and tritium better/ more expensive then just the tritium on the ta31f vs. the ta01?

The center reticle portion (donut, chevron, or triangle) on the TA31 (and TA11) is super-bright during the day, comparable to the brightness of an Aimpoint dot on the top 2 settings. The TA01 has a more conventional crosshair-style reticle and it is not daylight-bright.
