I’ve been using a Cold Steel Master Hunter in carbon V for field dressing game and general camping chores for years and have decided to get something new. The Master Hunter has been a very good knife so there is no particular reason other than I want to. There are two knifes I am considering the Bark River Gameskeeper or Fallkniven F1. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

I like you have been using a Master Hunter for years. I would also be interested in anyone's thoughts on the two knives you are considering.

I don't like the Fallkniven F1 rubber handles. The zytel sheath is alright but I prefer leather. The reason I don't like the rubber handles is they are square on the edges and aren't as rounded as I would prefer. This guy has some pretty good fallknivens with handles from bark river and ships fast. Like got your order it's in the mail the next day fast.

As far as the bark river Gameskeeper goes it has a great handle though I prefer the Bravo 1.
The sheath is good quality too.

Both knives have good blades but the Barkies are A2 and are not stainless.
