Investigators are trying to determine whether he inflicted the injuries while defending himself inside the apartment, or hunted down the burglars after they had fled.
This guy doesn't seem like the type to "hunt them down" after they had started fleeing -- he let them bind him and his two female associates! Obviously this guy was not going to fight unless his safety or the safety of his companions was seriously in jeopardy.

aside:
the guy managed to free himself and then inflict numerous stab wounds! jeeesus! the doctor is hardcore!

...planning on seing kill bill this weekend (and finishing up JR's CCW training on Sunday). I need to find a posse, though (maggie's not to keen on seeing it).
