Hi all

i bought Taurus Millennium Pro 3rd PT111 BP10 9mm Generation last month, i have some confusion when i compare my gun with the downloaded images of Taurus millinnium pro on the internet. in downloaded images there is "MILLINNIUM" mark on the left side of the gun & on my gun there is "TAURUS" mark on the left side of the gun.. is there any problem.. plz check images

I think you got a chinese made fake taurus....

No seriously...they probably have some versions that says Taurus instead of Millennium pro.

I don't think you're the only one because I found another with same marking. I wouldn't sweat it....

I agree with not to sweat it, unless you got it from a reputable gun shop and then I would complain because they should know better.

Taurus is in Brazil, and export guns all over the world.

Those exported to Pakistan may or may not have the exact same markings or features as the ones exported to the U.S.A. market.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I agree with the above. My comment is that based on your photos, I am thinking the gun in the upper right corner of your second thumbnail is your gun. It looks legit and not a copy or anything. Just a marketing difference in export. Don't worry.

to the OP, in the photo on the left, your comparing the wrong sides of the weapon.


The reason for your confusion is that taurus marketing section nevers changes the photos in catalog, website, or promotional items to reflect the true product being sold.

In the catalogs its very easy to find that in the semi auto handgun sections, its very common for the layout department to reverse photos. That is the main cause of your concern.

Also someone in the layout department is to lazy to notice that the staff fails to update photos for a particular weapon when a new generation is released. That means when you look at the taurus website for a nice photo of say the 3rd gen millenium pro, youll most likely be looking at the photos for the ist gen release. Probably even at the same pre release photo from 2002s SHOT SHOW handout for "guns to expect in 2003, but dont hold your breath till 2009".
