A friend gave me a box of these today to try in my 38spl/357mag loads. I have Unique, titegroup, and Bullseye powders. I don't have the Speer manual and the Lee and Hornady manuals don't show this bullet.

Another reloader told me the Speer #12 and 14 books show 140 gr. UCHP bullet using 7.2gr. to 8.0gr Unique for 357mag. Is that UCHP bullet interchangeable for the load with the JHP?

thanks, Joe

Joe:
I have the current Speer Manual #14 in front of me and it lists loads for your 140 gr bullet and all three of your powders. Unfortunately these loads are for +P loads only, nothing for standard loads and I'm a little reluctant to post them here because of someone's potential misuse of this +P data. If want this data, lease email me at pennstateblue@verizon.net and I will be glad to give it to you. :)

8.0grs of Unique is max for Speers 140gr JHP, 7.2grs is the appropriate start load. UCHP is their JHP bullet the others ar designated as GDHP's for Gold Dot hollow points.

Thanks Steve that helps. I thought the JHP=UCHP for Speers.
