Any Ohio Hunters??

I want to get started hunting, but don't really have anyone to teach me. what are the best ways to get started. The hunter's education course i know. but how do you know where to go? i recently got the rules and regulations for this year. i think i will start out with squirel and rabbit. any suggestions on getting started??

I'm not familiar with the Cincinnatti area...but I would start with the wildlife areas listed in the ODNR booklet. Deercreek isn't bad, and Southern Ohio has some real good ones (Zaleski and Wayne). A good first step would be just to get out to one of them and have a look around. You've gotta start somehere.
A lot of folks are pretty particular about hunting spots -and hunting partners. As Daniel Boone said, "know your hunting partner as well as you know your wife". Nearly all of my private land connections were found "accidently" through conversations with co-workers and casual acquaintances. Talk up your new hobby with co-workers, church members, etc. It doesn't hurt to knock on some doors and ask permission either. Be patient - private land hunting opportunities will develop over time.
