I just picked one of these up today. Haven't had a decent 12ga since I sold my 870 express magnum.

Fit is okay, there are a couple apparent gaps between the wood and the buttpad and at the back of the forearm.

Finish seems really good, the little bit of engraving on the side is a bit rough on the top and likes to snag my oil rag, but I think I can live with it.

I should have a better report once I try it out, going up north to the parents for some grouse hunting this weekend.

Anyone else have any experiences or problems with the Stoegers?

I've been trying to find an Uplander in 28-gauge for months.

So far, no joy.

I want to handle one before I consider purchasing one. I want a good handling gun, and don't want to find out that the one I just bought sight unseen is a dog.

Well I got a chance to try out the Uplander this past weekend.

Didn't have any problems, put about 50 rounds thru it and the action started to slick up nicely. It was a little different handling, probably because I"m used to my old 870. seem s to point well when I pull it up to my shoulder.

Didn't see any birds, but got a few red squirrels, sure did a number on them.
