Looking at some that arrive makes me realize that they are hardly doing us 2nd supporters much of a service..... rather they fuel the anti's cause.

One or two in particular (no mentions by name but you'd soon recognize them!) ... call just about every damned thing ''tactical'' ..... and promote stuff such as AP, incendiary, ''expanding'' and such in almost ''Hollywood'' terms - it sounds almost absurd.

Doubt they'll change but ... trying to imagine an anti viewing some ... hell ..... no wonder they think all gun and shooting enthusiasts are little more than ''gun nuts''. Guess it is as ever all about selling things ... but .......

Oh heck ... must be an age thing!

One non-nutty but highly enthusiastic owner and shooter.:)

I know what you mean. I think the same thing when I read some of the bumper stickers & such at the local gun shows. Ye gods, why don't you just reinforce a few more ignorant stereotypes? *sigh*

I wonder what the mail lady thinks about my household. Usually the same day I get catalogs that have 'AK-47 blowout sale!' and 'just arrived from Bulgaria- SNIPER SCOPES!' on the front cover, my wife gets her Parenting and Baby magazines in.

Oh yeah ... quite forgot to mention the ''sniper'' references too.

I too wonder what my USPS lady thinks at times ..... mind you, I think her old man hunts and is switched on so maybe she's not phased!!

...trying to imagine an anti viewing some...

The catalogues and brochures are targeted at us, not anti-Second Amendment bigots, who've already got their alleged "minds" made up, and don't spend money on firearms or firearms-related products, anyway.

I refuse to live in fear of what avowed enemies of our nation's civil rights might so-called "think."

I got my Oct 2003 TAPCO catalog today, pre-opened for my convenience. I wonder if it was the curious guys at the post office who did it or if DOJ/DHS is pre-screening all my mail now?

If you haven't seen this one, it's the Halloween spoof issue.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Just about all my "junk" mail is gun related. From Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas, to all the other mail order companies, its in my mailbox. I don't really worry about it though. I'm sure there are so much of these mailings in my area that the mail handlers don't so much as think twice about it.

I get Federal Arms catalogs delivered right here to my dorm. Complete with pictures of busty models holding Kalashnikovs and pistols on the cover.

Sorry, guys, but all because I've seen your product clutched in the smooth, dovish hands of an amateur model does not mean I'm going to buy it.

Show some leg next time and I'll think about it. But only if the model is female. All because Nightcrawler's in college doesn't mean he's gonna, you know, experiment, or any of that. (It does mean that he'll refer to himself in the third person. He'll also refer to his 4-door, creme colored Oldsmobile, formerly owned by a little old lady, as the Pimpmobile.)

Woo, I should get some sleep, hey?
