Must...

from...
bidding!
Oh. No problem. It's nickled. :D
Fingers crossed for you, Pig.

Pig drawn to shiney.
Me not. Good for my stash.
If that blue, would be in trubbil.

Hmm...would I be willing to do nickled for a 4" .41 Mag?
Probably.
Guess it's a good thing I don't have several hundred to spare right yet.

Had that discussion with people here a few weeks ago when I was bidding on a Remington Model 81.
I posted the original message.
It never occurred to me that someone from this site would be enough of a prick to get into a bidding war with me on something.
If I knew that someone here was bidding on something, even something that I wanted badly, I'd never consider bidding.

To bid against someone else on this board, that's just wrong. I thought we were one big happy family. Now if you win it, I reserve the right to make fun of your new shiny girly toy.

Huh....I thought you were SELLING it, not bidding on it. (I was pretty tired when I read this.)
Sorry.

I posted it here because I'm not enough of a prick to bid against anyone on the forum.
I figured that most other people shared the same philosophy.
The problem is, I have been on the lookout for a nickeled 57, and have to wait for the next one.
You're welcome to post a link of the one I'm bidding on, because it will prolly happen shortly.
Also, I only posted it here, at revolvers, because for the most part, we're one big happy, mildly disfunctional family, and everybody knows you here.
For the record, I see your point.
Good luck, hope you get it.

Don't think I'd ever bid against "da pig .... "
He can likely run faster then I can.
As it is I wish him the best. Hopefully the nickel plate will scare off more people then it attracts.
I would have never suspected he needed a B.Q. gun .....

- - If you DO get both of 'em, are you gonna get yourself one of those flower-carved, two-gun Buscadero rigs? The old boy who makes up the Rodeo Parade outfits for the Rangers is in East Texas, not TOO far from Arkansas . . .

I'm in the market for a model 57, but not nickel-plated.

Well, you could always underbid the Pig and then grind the nickle plating off, Wolf... :D

"There are a couple of blued 57s on the auction sites right now."
Please don't tell me that. I just picked up my PSP last night...

"You want the number?"
No...
In the past month I've spent well over $1,000 on guns and related items.
That's money that should have either been saved or put some place else...

ewwwww,
I just looked at the auction site.
It sure looks like that funky spot on th cylinder might just be that after all. But I sure hope not. Keep us posted. If it is a pitted area it should have been described by the seller. :(
