Any opinions on this set up? http://www.ch4d.com/ , any users of this press? I'm just now considering reloading as an extension of my shooting hobby and exploring my options. I shoot casually and in an informal IDPA league at my gun club. Not a hugh number of rounds now but you never know where things lead. I really don't want a single stage but don't want to worry about all that goes on using a progressive. I shoot mostly 9mm and that is most likely the only caliber I will reload. I like the idea of this setup as I worry about the powder drop moving back and forth with a turret press.

I didn't know that CH was still in business. However if you are loading just one caliber and are shooting quanties of ammo weekly, why not consider the Dillon SDB press, It is a progressive press complete with dies and probably won't cost you anymore than the CH press with dies and 4 shell holders. CH always had a good name in quipment when I started reloading,and probably still does, but it will be a lot slower to operate than the SDB. You will be moving a single case from station to station 3-4 times and that is amost as slow as using a single station press in my opinion. :)

I have and currently use this press. It was my first press and I loaded 44 mag, 357 and 9mm on it. I think this is a really nice set up. Well made and easy to use. The only draw back I would say would be the powder measure. You use bushings, which you can make yourself, but you are limited by not having infinite adjustments. With that said, it is extremely quick and easy to use.
