Yeah, I got excited, too, until I saw the price, $349. :what::rolleyes: I want one, but I can wait, and I ain't got the bux yet, really, anyway. A year ago I coulda got a P3AT for 100 bucks less than that, but they're impossible to find, too, right now.
Academy had a full stock of handguns, auto and revolver. They're normally the place for the discount prices, but if they're pricing everything like that LCP, I can understand how they're flush with inventory..... What is that, about 30 bucks over MSRP?

I bought an LCP yesterday for $350 but the dealer thru in a box of Magtech (50 rounds) and a box of Magtech Gold (20 rounds). Given the scarity of LCPs as well as the price of ammo ($30 for the box of 50, $30 for the Gold), I thought I got a fair (not great) price. Local "pre-freak out" price was $300. Price gouging - yep, but I could have walked away.
I looked into the Kel-tec 3AT, Micro Eagle and LCP. All are perfect for my needs. I wear a suit 5 days a week, in a state where CCW is impossible to obtain and take the train to another state where CCW is impossible to obtain. I needed a firearm that disappeared into my suit pocket or portfolio. I tried my other firearms: SW Model 60, Kel-tec P11, XD 40 subcompact, etc., and all were too big to just disappear. I decided on the LCP primarily due to my favorable impression of Ruger (I have 3 of their revolvers and 2 rifles). Would I have prefered to carry one of my higher caliber pistols - absolutly but they are all too big to meet my restrictions.
So far the LCP does exactly what I want. Accurate at 7 yards (dinner plate groups), light weight, invisable, comforting in a crazy world.
Is the LCP (and the like) for everyone, nope - but I certainly don't regret my decision.

Nice little pistols...glad I got mine when I did they were hard to find even then. If I had to have a little 380 right now I'd still pay $349 so I wouldn't have to wait. Good luck finding ammo though!

Better than the the price a shop around here was charging for the PF9..$380, which is ~$170 over cost. I think ill wait until the bs settles some more

Yup, that's what I thought when I saw what they were asking for that one. I don't need it that bad, carry my 9x19 P11 all the time and probably wouldn't stop for the Ruger cause I have no problem concealing the bigger gun, just want another option in the LCP/P3AT size range and I own 7 Rugers now, so I figured it'd be neat to own 8 again. LOL But, if I can find a P3AT in the future for significantly less money, I don't feel the Ruger is worth a lot more'n the KT. Basically very similar, both seem to give good service.
380 bucks for a PF9?! Holy cow, the stupidity. Wonder what Rohrbaughs are going for, ROFL!

Sounds pretty good to me, at today's HGCA gun show $399 was the cheapest I saw, many were asking $450!

...I had a dealer offer me a "deal" for $400 with tax :what: at a gun show today. That price was actually slightly discounted after he added the tax in and the price shot over $400! I decided to pass on it!
