I'm still waiting for mine..

Obtw, what grade of PSP did you buy, Mike? Good, VG, or LNIB? http://www.candlepowerforums.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Beats me. It was one of the first ones that Wild Alaska had for sale, and I think they were going on a first-come, first-shoot basis.

Those were a good grade.
I recieved mine, shot it ,and of course, I'm duly impressed.
I esp. like how the grip acts like a slide release.
I'm now a P7 newbie!!
LOL
Mine shoots like a dream.

Mike,

Becareful. The PSP is adictive. I now have 3 or maybe 4, frankly I remember the first 3 though. 1 is for carry (tefloned and broken in), 1 is for the safe as a backup, 1 is for shooting and fun and my last (I guess I do have 4) is a low serial number IA version that I shoot very well.

Good luck. They are a lot of fun.

All I can say is WOW, folks.

For $589 this one looks as if it rode in a holster all day long, and was NEVER shot. If it was shot, it was given the ultrasound of its LIFE to clean it up!

The gas piston doesn't even show any of the impacted carbon that you'd expect to see!

The BMI marking is so faintly "bunted" that it looks more like an accidental scratch than an attempt to eradicate the mark.

If there is a gun that can make me abandon the revolvers as a carry gun, I'm afraid that it might be this one.

Chris,

I was talking to MTNBKR about the shoot. I need to make a phone call or two to arrange for kenneling of my dogs, but yes, I believe that we'll be at the shoot, and this gun WILL make the trip along.

[eager whimper] According to my bank statement this morning, my check cleared last night [/eager whimper]

That should mean that my dealer has a box from the far north sitting in his safe (and has probably been sitting there for a couple of days knowing his "Ooops, forgot to call" policy  ).

Now I need to get out this weekend and run some rounds through it so I can stop bouncing up and down like a kid on Christmas Eve :D .

I ordered the next grade up, very good or excellent, I don't know. The price was still right for a P7. Can't wait to get it and I already have a P7M8 to play with. Yes, I hate myself.

I hate to sound stupid, but what exactly is a P7 PSP? Is it something like a HK P7M8?

Any pics?

"make me abandon the revolvers as a carry gun" Mike, step back and take a breath! You are making me nervous. Think modle 19!!!! Seriously though, Enjoy it and, how about a range report when you get a chance?

Just like a P7M8 except with a smaller trigger guard, no heat shield and the magazine release is on the bottom of the grips ala "Euro-style"

I'll definitely range report when I have the chance. I'd be going to the right right after work this evening except for the fact that my parent's are coming down for a visit and will be here by then.

Fingers crossed Mike ... do hope so.

I will be sending out the final pre-shoot email quite soon.

Hey Mike, if you can't make it to the PA shoot, you could always loan me the PSP, you know, just so I could show it off for you. :D

Man, I have no clue when I'll have the money for a P7 but with all these people picking them up and absolutely loving the things I'm starting to think I'm going to have to find some way to get one myself.

Where did you find one for $589.00?

What does the "PSP" mean?

Congrats!

Although I haven't fired a PSP, the M8 is what helped me truly appreciate the importance of platform over caliber or capacity.

cheers

What does the "PSP" mean?
PSP is short for, Polizei Selbstlade Pistole (Police Self-Loading Pistol).

Yeah, Chaim, this is really me.

I dragged the P7M8 shoulder holster out of the closet the other night. The PSP is a bit loose, but it's held securely. I pulled and tugged every way I could, and I couldn't get it to pull out.

So, I wore the holster around for a couple of hours with the gun in it. I need to ajust the holster a little more, but I think this gun just may replace my S&W 042 for at least winter carry.

I feel like a traitor saying that! :)

The only thing that this thread is missing is an answer to a question like this..

"How do I clean my PSP?" :D

I know that no one asked it, but here's the answer..

I picked up a PSP yesterday at a gunshow. Paid a little more than others here, but mine appears to be unissued. It has the strikethrough on the agency initials, but they barely appear to be scatches. Anybody know a good place for factory mags? It came with 2, but I usually like to have at least 3 for each of my guns.

Found a link with an English version manual - have to dig it up. My manual was in German  and it's been about 10 years since I've read any German.

Ocasionally CDNN has mags for it, right now 44.99, also try the "For Sale HK Accessories" section of HKPro.com. Great Pistol, I love mine!

Frodo,

I've carried guns FAR heavier than a P7 PSP in a shoulder holster (P7M13, fully loaded, for example) for upwards 15 or more hours with no discomfort at all.

The secret is choosing the right holster.

SouthpawShootr

CDNN was the first place I looked for mags. Unfortunately, they're all out. I think I might order from Arizona Gunrunners. They always done very well by me.
