Well, I've decided to set my IPSC guns aside for a while and play cowboy. After a less then stellar experience with a borrowed '92 (It must have been me - the guns owner shot it just fine), I bought a Cimarron (Uberti) '66 in .38 special. Wow! It is, by far, the prettiest gun in my safe. With my standard match loads, it has virtually no recoil. Out of the box, it was right on target - no sight adjustment necessary.

I can't wait for the next match!

I always wondered about those .38 Special Yellowboys. Thanks, pard, looks like you got a good un! Do you have to load it with BP to qualify for Cowboy shooting? :)

Did you happen to borrow that '92 from "Smoke Rizen"? I'll tell you, Bud can shoot about anything and do just fine. :D

BTW, we wanted to go watch that match, but we decided that laying linoleum in my son's kitchen would be so much more fun.

Yep, that was Buds gun. Must be a problem with my lever stroke, as he had no problems.

He was very apologetic afterwards (no reason to be), but said that if I called and complained to his wife, he might be able to get a new gun. :D
