Drunken gun-lover jailed

Police arrested an Oslo man after finding him drunk and carrying a loaded gun cocked and ready to fire. The man, a confessed "gun-lover", explained that he wouldn't do such a thing sober.

Police found an additional weapon and ammunition at the man's home.

During the arrest last weekend the accused told police that he carried a gun because he was being followed and threatened. He later offered the confusing explanation that he didn't always go around with the gun cocked, this was something he only did when drunk.

The man told police during questioning that he loved weapons and would get another one if they released him.

At a court hearing the accused said he had no idea why had said this, but he had been completely drunk during questioning.

The court recommended he be remanded in custody for four weeks.

Sounds like he should clean up his life before he gets any guns.

"You mean the Fifth, don't you? The Twenty-First is repeal of prohibition."

"Thash right. I wash drunk at the time."

Well, he's not the only one of his kind ....

It is a lot cheaper buying a gun from the junkie hangout square in Oslo than in the stores. "Imported" from Russia or eastern Europe. And then you don't have to bother about the pesky registration. And since neither the police or any law-abiding regularly carry, you don't have to worry about your victim firing back. We're polite that way :uhoh:
