Hello,

I am trying to remove the Recoil Spring tube on my beretta 1201. Any advice on this?

I can't tell if this twists out of the receiver or pull out, etc? I have tried unscrewing it with my hands but it is in their tight.

Any advice is appreciated. I have put a schematic for a Benelli m1 with similar design, as well as some pictures.

Thanks again.

The tube is threaded into the receiver but it may be difficult to remove without damaging it. The walls are relatively thin. You could put some heat to it as it may have been loctited at some time. We have had luck using aluminum barrel blocks designed for the AR15. In a vise, with a leather pad you can get a good hold on the tube without crushing it. Then heat and unscrew.
