Is this a decent price for the above revolver 299.00? I am thinking of buying my first revolver.

Generally, that's a very decent price.

I've seen some pretty beat ones, though. Also have seen nice ones for decent prices.

Also, they're blue or stainless, in 4 different barrel lengths. Each might see different demand.

What else do you know about the $299 gun?

This is where I found it at. It looks a little rusty on the barrel though.

Gun comes with a holster AND a lifetime warranty. Sounds like a GREAT deal to me.

Yep! That nasty barrel is what brought the price down.

It is a later New Model, and looks to be in real good shape except for the barrel finish rust.

It won't hurt anything except the resale value.

Unless it looks like that on the inside too!

I would question them very carefully about the condition of the bore before I bought it.

I wouldn't question squat. I'd LOOK in the bore, or I would not buy it.

$299 is a good price, but not for a gun with a rusty bore.:)

Well, I figured it is an internet gun dealer, and he probably doesn't have the oppertunity to look in it his-self.

If they can assure him the bore is not rusty like the outside?

Probably a fair price.

I go into Dury's quite often and I have not seen this one for sale. Even if I had, I would have passed, even at that price. which is very good. I had one just like it with the Dragoon trigger guard and it busted my hand every time I shot it. I hated it. I ended up buying the 5.5" version with the round trigger guard and love it.

I just looked at their website, and they're kinda selling most of their used guns for a lot--by which I mean what I'd expect to pay for them new. Hmmm.

So if there is any rust in the bore pass on it?

In general, yes. Rust in the bore is a much bigger issue than on the exterior. With a shiny bore, that's a decent price. I bought one a few months ago for $425 that was NIB.

So if there is any rust in the bore pass on it?

Absolutely. I got a stainless SBH for less than $300 in a gun shop. Not a thing wrong with it.

Be patient.

Or, you can pick one up for a little more, but it will be in great condition. That shouldn't even require all that much patience.
