Hi everyone,

Before the questions of why, I don't live in a free country so real steel isn't an option, and I'm an avid western fan.

I've been looking to finally get a Pietta repro, but I have no idea of quality. I'm assuming they are high quality with the price of them and the fact that Pietta also make real firearms.

So does anyone know if the quality is the same as the real thing, and would it stand up to repeated dry firing with snap caps?

Many thanks

They should be fine. I have owned a Pietta 1860 colt re-pro for 5 years now without a problem. Its not a blank firing gun but it should be built to the "same" standard as their other firearms.
