I know Tamara is ''up there'' with a collection (biggest it seems on THR!) but ... took all the gear out of the safe shelves to tidy and clean (well, the handguns) .... and thought I'd lay em out (or is that ''fondle'' )..... never tried that before.
One or two real tacky pieces didn't make it onto the blanket but .... anyways, seein as we like to look at each other's pieces .. here y'are.
Looks good to me Tams ............ VERY good! Remember that pic which is why I commented!:p
The .455 .. yep, a Webley MkVI ....... rebuilt by me and re blued ..... tho only a cold blue. Not a bad specimen except for the locking lever spring which was a replacement from Brownells ....... and nowhere near like the original.
I even spent ages on CAD drawing up old and new . hoping they'd find a way to make the ''proper one'' ... but no ... not much response.
I may see if i can post a pic of the dwg actually and see what people think.

Now, where did leave my digi cam?
October 17, 2003, 12:29 AM
That spring issue ............ it was not Brownells .. it was Numrich (Gun Parts Corp) .... anyways .. posted a thread on this deal ......
did you leave your 1911's out on purpose:confused:

I'm beginning to feel somewhat... inadequate...

Tamara, if I get a divorce, will you marry me? Seriously, nice collection. Is that a Pepper Box on the bottom row? What can you tell me about it? Thanks.
October 17, 2003, 11:36 AM
Just so you all know...Tams got the legal minimum requirement for citizenship, so ya'll best get busy and aquire more.
Oh, and P95Carry...you do realize your citizenship is probationary until you get some form of 1911??:D
I myself do regretfully admit that I do not yet have full citizenship status either.:(
October 17, 2003, 12:06 PM
did you leave your 1911's out on purpose Clown714 ......... haha ...... wondered who would come up with that one ......... Tams of course does not have that problem. ;) :p I do greatly like my P97, which fills that ''45 acp'' gap and is carry piece now.
Honest answer? ..........much as I have handled and shot em .... just don't feel the need. Having said that .... if one were to, shall we say ''crop up'' .. who knows, things might change!! :p
October 17, 2003, 12:24 PM
Damn, you have my body weight in guns.
October 17, 2003, 12:50 PM
Is that little silver one a .22, p95? What make? If it's the gun I think it is, I've been trying to remember who makes it for about a month. ;)
October 17, 2003, 12:59 PM
And my wife thinks I have too many!!
October 17, 2003, 01:12 PM
Is that little silver one a .22, p95? What make? If it's the gun I think it is, I've been trying to remember who makes it for about a month. The small semi slightly left of center? That is a Phoenix Arms HP-22 ..... I got that NIB and, the version that comes with an optional swappable 5" barrel.
It is very much down there in the ''budget gun'' category .... and I guess it is for most part just a plinker but .. it is extremely concealable, if a tad heavy for its size - now and again it has been about all I could manage to carry, tho a rimfire sure ain't my real choice!.
Providing I pay attention to cleaning and avoid excessive crud build-up it is incredibly reliable, and a lot of fun! With the longer barrel, it is remarkably accurate. It is IMO one of those cheapie guns that does represent pretty value....... whole deal was IIRC around $160.
October 17, 2003, 01:15 PM
Damn, you have my body weight in guns. LOL!! Skunk ....... tell ya what .... when and if your body weight takes an up-turn .. let me know .... cos it'll mean I'll have to add weight to the collection to stay in line!! :D
October 17, 2003, 02:15 PM
Phoenix arms, that's it! I should have remembered that. I was looking at one of those a while ago and was quite fond of the aesthetics, if nothing else. I'm glad to hear it's a good plinker - I wouldn't feel safe carrying a .22 for self defense.
October 17, 2003, 02:25 PM
Those pix remind me somewhat of the Colt display they made around the time of the US Centennial. A big wheel of guns surrounded by more guns, all in a handsome walnut cabinet.
October 17, 2003, 03:08 PM
OK, I pick far right row, third from the bottom. This is a giveaway, right?
I've had questions about Tamara's collection, seems as good of a time as any. Why only two sub-compact glocks and what caliber are they? Glocks don't exactly blow my skirt up with charisma, but Glock 17/19 is a very fine weapon. It seems odd that a 17 or 19 didn't sneak in there somewhere in a collection that large. How many of those are .22s? With that many guns, how do you find time to shoot them? How long and HOW did that collection get assembled? Has it always leaned toward revolvers?

Man, I've been to gun shows where there were fewer guns!
I stand...how shall I put it...in awe.

Those are a G29 and a G30.
The G29 is gone, as are both SIGs, the BDM, the longer-barrelled 625 (a 625-4), and the Old Model Single Six (that's the long-barrelled one...)
Joining the show since then are four more 1911's, a 27, a 37, a 65, a 544, a 581, a 5" 625-2, and a 3" 625-7. I think that's all of it. So far... :uhoh:
As you can tell, the collection is moving towards a point where, except for a few sentimental (G30) or special-use pieces (Jetfire), it will be all 1911's and S&W revolvers.
How many of those are .22s?
Only two left: the Bearcat and that adjustable-sighted 2" RB Model 34. Also a Ciener .22 conversion for the 1911's.

Damn, you have my body weight in guns.
Why, yes, that black Centennial is an Airweight... :D
*Ow!* Stop hitting me! I'm sorry! ;)
October 17, 2003, 11:08 PM
I swear, they multiply during the night when I'm not looking!
October 17, 2003, 11:18 PM
I swear, they multiply during the night when I'm not looking! I wish mine would .... woulda saved me some money! Trouble is I can't seem to ''sex'' them and put the right ones next to each other! :D
October 18, 2003, 03:22 AM
What's that fugly one in the upper right corner??? ;)
October 18, 2003, 04:05 AM
That would be the Mateba automatic revolver. Can't tell if it's the .357, .44, or .454 but it's definately a Mateba.
CDNN Investments (http://www.cdnninvestments.com) has a few .44 Mags left.
From the wink I take it you know :p
I've handled one in person. I'd like a big low barrelled revolver in a light cartridge like a .357 Mag or .45 Colt for fast recovery for say pin shooting but the compromises to make it automatic detract from the design IMHO.
If Sergio would just make a double action low-barrel target revolver I'd seriously consider buying one.
October 18, 2003, 05:06 AM
it will be all 1911's and S&W revolvers. Tam! Say it ain't so! The Ethan and the 1858 should get a papal dispensation or something.
Spegel's on the HP ?

October 18, 2003, 10:36 PM
The grips on the HP Practical - -
I have a twin to it with Spegel Ebony wood grips on it.
October 18, 2003, 10:54 PM
Hal .. I knew I was bein thick!
These grips are Uncle Mikes in fact ... I had to check on that cos i bought this piece from a guy on THR and to be honest (apart from loving the grips!) had not checked on their origin.
