Extra long grips for an sp101?

I'm considering buying a double action only sp101, the only issue is I've got shaq hands and after feeling the gun at a shop I noticed it comes up a bit short on my palm. I'm curious if anyone has replaced their grips on this gun with something beefier. Since this gun will be in my nightstand I don't mind if it bulks the revolver up a little. Thanks

Hogue makes a rubber grip that is pretty popular with the SP101. They also make wood grips.

I have a DAO SP101 with the overmolded rubber CT grips on it. Plenty of room on those. They're a fair bit larger than the standard grips.

Herrett's will make a grip to fit your hand. At one time Hogue I think also did this but don't know if they do now. Herrett can be found at:

Thanks. I like the Hogues for rubber. Do I have any other options for wood? The custom route is a little rich for my blood. I'd like to keep things around $30-$60 max.

Nevermind, it looks like Hogue makes a bunch of grips for this gun. Sweet...

Take a look at the Trausch grip. I have been thinking about getting a pair for my sp101.

I have the Hogue grip for my sp101 and it's a bit larger and has finger grooves. It makes the gun a bit more difficult to conceal, but it's a lot more pleasant to shoot the .327 with. The standard grip is perfectly good however, but it transmits more shock with the bigger bullet. I like the looks of the stock grip so much I put it back on the gun last week.

I bought my 3# Sp101 a year ago and put the Trausch grips on right away. The gun now fits my hand much better. Like you, the stock grips felt like the gun was going to jump out of my hand when firing.
