sportlock handgun safe

I bought a sportlock handgun safe. If anyone is contemplating buying one DONT. It is a piece of junk. The electronic lock works sporatically at best. The fit and finish is horrible. Please dont waste your money....

Sucks to here, but good to know. Ive never been a fan of electronic safes myself for that very reason.

If it is so bad, perhaps consider placing it in a prominent place as a decoy safe (empty of course), in case of a break in.

If you have the spare room (garage or ??), maybe a hidden in plain sight mentality might be in order.

Take a look at this handgun lockbox. A simple reliable lock is probably better than the electronic ones. You could leave it open at night mounted on a bed frame or to a night stand.
