You need a pistol and a rifle, and a holster and a sling. Beyond that, its pretty open.

Rifles are most commonly ARs, quite a few AKs, and then a collection of various service rifles, and even some pistol caliber carbines. Pretty open..never seen anyone shoot a M1 Garand during the CRC but a few people have during monthly matches.

No race guns, but any standard pistol larger than 9 mm should work. Glocks and M&Ps are used the most but 1911s, M9s, XDs..fairly open.

You need to have the means to hold one or more magazines for each your pistol or carbine to your body..carrying them in your pocket is allowed but not encouraged. You must also have a commercially made sling and a holster than will retain the pistol during running, jumping, etc.

The rule book on the ACTS site gives specifics as to what is allowed or disallowed. Rules are quite a bit stricter for the CRC than they are for regular monthly matches. During regular matches, 1st time shooters are allowed to use pretty much whatever gear they bring, as long as there are no safety issues (most common being pistol holsters with little to no retention or homemade slings.)
