Speed Trigger?

Anyone use one of these things?
There's an old Beretta O/U with one, in a local used rack.
Anyone who knows about the Speed Trigger have any opinions about durability, usefulness, adapting between that, a single trigger, and regular double triggers?

Bump in case anyone knows.
It's a single trigger with two scallops. If you pull the top part, it fires the top barrel. The bottom part fires the bottom barrel. It's an alternative to dual triggers.
It's neat. I just don't know about reliability, etc.

I have never heard of it. Is it orginal or an added feature ? Seems to me just a single trigger would work better.

It was a way to select the right choke for a shot.
Easy answer. Just use the bottom all the time for the first shot.
No reliability issues I know of.

This system gets around three problems:
1. Separate barrel selector. It has the hunting convenience of dual triggers.
2. Inertia trigger selection. You can shoot blanks for dog training, or whatever, and each barrel will fire.
3. Different LOP for each trigger in a dual trigger setup.
It's also quicker than a single trigger. I tried it (dry fire). I'm not sure that firing off two shots really fast is anything but a waste of, but it is quicker.
Dave- Was that a Beretta feature, or was it an aftermarket addition?

A feature. Possibly to compete with one of the Superposed variants.
That one was two triggers, but both trigger controlled both barrels. Pulling the front one fired the bottom barrel first, then the top. The rear reversed the sequence.
Both systems had their fans. Choke tubes kinda put an end to both systems.
Rich Cole, I believe, will install dual triggers in Berreta O/Us.
I regard that speed trigger as a plus.
Buy it.

I liked the Speed Trigger.
Went back today, and someone else had bought the thing.:)
Still not sure if $500 was a good price for it. A good amount of "honest wear" but looked well taken care of for a gun with a lot of blueing wear. Used, not abused.
Today, they had a BL4 variant, with a 28" IC/M and a 30" M/F barrel set. They want a grand. No clue what it's worth with 2 sets of barrels. Wouldn't blue book at $1000 with one set, though.

Damn.
IMO, a BL4 with two sets of barrels is easily worth a grand IF condition is decent. DO ring test the barrels for GPs before committing.
