First time I have seen that manufacturers gun, very nice. Front half looks like a 51 Navy and the back looks like a 58 Remington.

Ditto above. First one I have ever seen engraved. I have my doubts about it being plated. It looks more like the finish has been polished off of it. Need to look at it before you can tell.

There's another related site about all 3 firearms companies established by Thomas K. Bacon.
It contains many nice pictures of the Manhatten Series I & II models plus others.

I looked closer and I am almost certain it is polished rather than plated. Also, the screw in the hinge of the ball seater doesn't look right, not like the one I owned. Nice gun, just over priced.

Great site!I liked the bit about the spring plate [often called a cap guard] an accessory seldom seen nowadays. It prevents multiple fire, and jams due to cap fragments. I wish someone would reproduce them ,nowadays.

BHP Fan,
Where did you see the part about the spring plate? I couldn't find a reference.

Talks about the spring plate:

On a side note, THR blackpowder forum should start it's own repro company. I'm tired that all Pietta and Uberti want to do nowdays is colts and remingtons. The few others they make are way too expensive.
I'd like to see some of these guns replicated, as well as some other interesting ones like the adams double action, etc...
