Need ideas for S&W model 12 snubbie holsters

I have recently scored a 2-inch 12-3 K-frame that I'm pretty stoked about (the airweight version of the classic mod 10 snub).
I'm hoping that some of you fine folk can steer me towards:
#1 a decent leather paddle holster (no kydex or fobus synth).
I'd like a reinforced opening too.
and
#2 a decent pocket holster (for winter coat/parka use)
A cursory search of the net proved a bit hard to narrow down to the 2-inch K, so I'm going to the experts here at the revolver corner of THR.
All of you k-snub users; please let me hear what works for you.
Thanks a ton in advance.

You have a relatively rare toy. Revolvers such as yours were issued extensively by the USAF, but they weren't very popular on the civilian market. Most folks preferred the smaller J frame or Colt Cobra. But I've always been a big fan of the model 12.
Because of the rather small number of snub model 10 and 12's. You are not apt to find a paddle holster available for your revolver. Your best bet would be to have a holster custom made by one of the many independent holster makers. Cost shouldn't be much more than an off the shelf model.

Robert Mika can make you a fine pocket holster for that Mod. 12. Will be ugly as sin, but work like no other. Google Mika's Holsters. You may need to send him some dimensions and then wait quite sometime for your small piece of stitched naugahide. It'll be cheap and you'll be glad you did.

I have a like new right handed Rogers leather lined kydex paddle holster that would work marvelously for that gun.
Otherwise, Milt Sparks.

1) Pocket: I don't think you are going to find a pocket holster for a K-frame smith pre-made. It is just too big, really, 2" barrel or not. Sure, someone can make you one, but you better be talking about large cargo pockets on a winter Mackinaw - and then who needs a holster? I just put the gun in.
2) Paddle: Any K-frame 2/2.5" paddle is going to work for you. You likely will not find a dedicated 2" one, they will be cut 2.5" but you can trim them if that bothers you.
I do not use a paddle for carry. My primary carry is a 2.5" K frame almost identical in size to yours. I like a high-ride pancake. This gets it high and tight, out of the way and all but unnoticeable. This is a 2.5" 19 in a "Roy's Original" pancake.

For the paddle holster, try Kramer Leather's MSP Paddle holster. It is available for both the M15/67 and the M10/64 heavy barrel with the two-inch barrel. That means it should work well with your M12.

I have very limited experience with holster shopping. I have cought a couple from El Paso Saddlrey that I liked very much. Other than that I am not much help.
I think Oro is correct about pocket holsters. I have not seen one for the K frame.

I can carry a 12-2 in a Mika pocket holster in the front pocket of my jeans. It really depends on the type of jeans you have. L.L. Bean Comfort waist relaxed fit hide My 12-2.
I find the 12-2 to shoot better then you would think. Model 12's are nice carry guns.
Also check out Kramer Leather for a holster. Not cheap but good Quality.

Like you, I've been beating my brains out trying to find a molded leather holster for a S&W model 10 2". To make things worse, I want a thumbstrap.
Years ago I bought a Bianchi #5CL molded leather holster for a Chief's Special that had all these features PLUS it had a stainless steel belt clip.
I consider this as the perfect snubby holster. I can use it outside the pants strong side, or inside the pants in the small of my back.
I don't think Bianchi makes these anymore - very VERY sad.
I would love to find one just a tad larger that would hold the 2" model 10.
In the meantime, I'm still looking for a good holster for the model 10 snub. I guess I may have to settle for a paddle, but I still think that clip-on holster is Da Bomb!
If you find that elusive paddle for a S&W M10 2", clue me in. If you have one made, call me and maybe they will make two for a discount :-)
