Im looking at the Mossberg 835 and 535 Tactical Turkey guns and am wondering what the heck the difference is. It seems the only real difference is that the 835 has the Overbored barrel, is that it?

The 835 has a mag like the 590A1 & 500 Breacher 18.5 barrel shotguns and can accept a tube extension. The 535 has a mag tube setup like the 500 persuader and can't accept a tube ext.

Thank you for the mag info. I cant think of needing more than the 5 in the standard mag but its good to know.

Also where exactly would i find that kind of information on my own?

Also you have more barrel options with the 835. The 590A1 18.5" and the 500 Tactical Breacher barrels will fit. They have 3" chambers so you can only fire up to 3" shells out of them. In other words it can pull double duty hunting/home defense.

Spring & follower changes and cleaning the inside of the mag tube is easier on the 835.

The mag tube on the standard 500 & 535 is sealed and you have to screw the whole mag tube off to do a follower or spring change.
