Martini-Enfields were chambered in .303, but they're very rare. If it's one of those (I doubt it) jump all over it.
If it's a complete Lee-Enfield it's definitely worth it, as long as it doesn't have a shot out bore or other major problems.
Even if it's a sporterized L-E I'd say it's worth it, as long as it was done well.

The British P14, or Rifle, .303 Pattern 1914 was made in .303 British. Basically the same rifle as our M1917. Would be worth way, WAY, more than $100.

Heck, a British Enfield in decent condition is worth $100 so unless you're financially tight right now or hate Enfields, scoop if up.
I'm not far away if you pass on it. I wouldn't mind another Enfield.

The Canadian Ross' rifles (military) were also in 303, but like a P14 it is worth much more than $100, but it most likely isn't one.

Get a pic and post it here, if you can. I got my Enfield No4Mk1* from a guy who knew nothing about them for $50 - shoot MOA with one handload, great rifle, hope you similar luck!

Let's not forget the .303 Savage.
Just saying .303 doesn't tell you everything.

For $100, it is worth a look. Get your friend to bring the rifle for your review, and be sure to have the $100 st hand (and try not to choke when it turns out to be something REAL nice!).

Could be a Winchester 1895, or a Lee-Metford. If it is, you don't want one of those old things. Take a pass, and simply send me a PM with buddy's contact information. ;)

$100? Heck, I'd at least check it out if I were you. And if you don't, I think I might ;)
