A friend of mine had one that needed just one of the lead shot removed before it would zero.

You guys are great!!! except heres another one lets see if ya can help!!! Im having alot of trouble putting my number 3 shell holder in my RCBS hand primer the taper on the large rifle "holder thingy" for the shell holder seems to steep and the shell holder wont push all the way down and slide in...

I hope those are good scales, I just bought a used one for $55. Had a co-worker pick it up for me (it was near his house), I'll have it in my sticky paws in the morning.

Sounds like you might be using the wrong style of shell holder for the RCBS hand primer. You don't have the Lee shell holders by any chance? They have two different types, one set has the proper bevel on the bottom and the other doesn't (they are used only for the Lee Auto-Prime).

I have to disagree that the RCBS hand primer is horrible. That's the only primer I've used for many years and many, many thousands of rounds. It's probably the shell holder that is messing everything up and making it fit poorly.

Since I fixed the lee shellholder I have not had a problem and the RCBS hand primer is real sweet

Rondog...You will find that the RCBS 5-0-5 is an excellent beam scale.

For those who have the Lee Auto Prime. Don't confuse it with the Lee Auto Prime II. The shell holders for the lee die sets also fit the Lee Auto Prime II and it is not necessary to purchase special shell holders for it. Just the Lee Auto Prime hand primer will need special shell holders....Never could figure out why Lee did that...
