My guess on the second picture would be MILES (Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System) used for training. You can see the bands around the helmets, as well as a red blank firing adapter on the M-16. The silver things on the AKs are probably blank firing adapters and the boxesare probably lasers for the MILES.
I really got a kick out of the idiot with the underfolder above. I'm guessing that he has the stock tied to the mags because it won't fold completely due to the fact that he's got two mags taped together blocking it. If you look closely though you can also see that this effectively blocks access to the trigger. So if he wants to actually shoot the thing he'd have to get that stock untied and extended first.

+1 what rebel71 said -- the muzzle device is a blank firing adaptor, and the rest of it looks like a MILES unit.
As for the idiot with the underfolder tied to his mags, my only guess would be he's trying to make clean up for Israeli troops easier eventually . . .

Does anybody know why this guy has the stock tied to the mags?
Probably a U.S. captured piece on its way to an ammo dump. Stock wouldn't fold with the "jungle-clipped" mags in place, so they lashed the stock to the mags to avoid breakage.
