NC Star is a great priced product to get started with. They have may of the functions and similarities of their higher quality compitition. After that save your money and move on to better products. Many people are fine with the NC Star product line as they are professionals with someones life depending on the accuracy. They will not hold up on large caliber rifles when shooting large amounts of rounds.

Great product for the money with a warranty.

I have 2 NC star tactical scopes. One on a 10/22 Ruger & another on an AR.. Both are doing well for the plinking I do. If I shot the AR in competition I'd go w/an ACOG but that'd be crazy $'s for my use.

I have one of their pistol scopes that I bought solely for ammunition testing in my .22 match pistols. It's no Swarovski, but it's held up so far and the bullets go where the thing is pointed. For $60, it'll do -- but I wouldn't buy one to permanently mount to a decent gun.

Bought one and sent it back; couldn't hold zero for nothing on my .308 and sight picture was downright lousy. But, as is often said and more true with scopes than most other things, "you get what you pay for"...

Spend as much as you can on NcStar products. They need the money to pay their lawyers.

Bad experience w one of their spotters ... poor image, center shifts on zoom, bulky, heavy and unbalanced. You can do better for very little more w several other brands.

I have an NC Star Red-Dot.

As others have said, it'll work just fine on a pistol or .22 but I wouldn't put it on something that has any real recoil.
