I was looking at a different bedside gun and was considering a 1911. Has anyone had any experience with the Thompson 1911TC.
I noticed it's not made the same as the Auto Ordinance branded 1911s. It has a CNC machined slide vs. a cast slide, and also only comes in stainless. It does cost a few hundred more but it looks like a good buy.
I've read some negative things about the cheaper Auto Ordinance 1911s, but I'm not concerned about them since this is a different gun.
