i live in massachusetts, and the number of banned handguns is extensive. i have always wanted to try a Kahr K9. There are a few around here for sale that are pre-ban, made and kept in massachusetts before 1998. my problem is i remember several claims that the early Kahrs were unreliable in some ways but those problems have since been worked out. if i buy this pistol, is it going to be fraught with problems?

k9 never had any issues fromt he git go. great gun. u will love it. hope you can get it...

question: why are they banned in Ma???? Makes no sense to us Indiana guys..

pretty much everything that has been made after 1998 when the ban was put into effect is banned, unless the company specifically puts there guns into the regulation trials. it needs to pass all sorts of things, drop test, chamber loaded indicator, 10 lb trigger pull, among other stuff that i'm not aware of. basically all small autos except ones made by smith and wesson and sig sauer are banned here, makes it really hard to find a carry gun of your choice
