Nickels for brass?

So I found around 200-250 spent 30--06 casings and a small mix of .38 and some .303 shells in the closet. I hate to throw them out. Anyone know if I can fetch a little cash for this stuff? What's it worth at the corner gun shop?
Thanks.

Think Ebay. I see brass for sale there a lot. At least I used to - haven't looked on ebay for brass in quite a while.

Your local gun shop won't give you spit. Think of it as trading goods. Or sort 'em by make, clean 'em, prime 'em and take them to a gun show. The .30-06 anyway.

If you cast your own lead bullets, you can sometimes trade cartridge brass for scrap lead at your local salvage yard. You can save some bucks this way.
If not, brass will sell at salvage yards

I've sold 375 Wincshester brass over at gunbroker.com but that caliber is hard to come by. Also check out auctionarms.com. Take the 38 spl to the next gun show. There is always somebody there that reloads for handgun calibers and will either buy the brass from you or take it in trade towards some loaded ammo.
