I am considering painting my front sight because I shoot at black targets a lot, often at indoor ranges (relatively low-light). I will probably only paint the tip of the sight, maybe the top 1/16".
I know most people advocate blacking out or smoking their front sights for target shooting, but I have problems contrasting a black sight against a black target in anything but direct sunlight.
I am thinking this color would be good:

My concern is that it would be too reflective in bright sunlight. Should I go for a darker green? I hve green tritium sights on my pistol and they seem to work well.
Thanks!
