Hey guys, I bought a Para P16.40 Limited with the LDA trigger because I got a sweet deal on it ... and wanted to try the LDA trigger. I also 'thought' there was some class in competitive shooting where only double action triggers were allowed, and these were the hot ticket for that. However, now that I have the gun I hate the LDA. It hurts my finger, not sure if it's the shape of the trigger itself or the weight of pull, but it actually hurts my index finger-tip to shoot more than a couple mags.

I haven't started competitive shooting yet, but plan too soon. My question is if there really is a class where SA triggers aren't allowed, then for me to figure out if that's class where I'd want to compete or not. If there is, and I do want to try that class, is the LDA trigger workable to get down to 3lbs or so? And is there a wider, flat face (instead of the factory concave face) trigger available?

Other than not liking the trigger, the gun runs 100% for me and is very accurate. I imagine it would be a good comp gun, but the sore finger causes me to jerk more than I do with comfortable triggers on my other guns.

The LDA used to be legal for Production in USPSA, but I don't know if it still is. I can't think of a class where that would be the most competitive choice.

My $.02, put it up for sale and buy something that you enjoy shooting and that is more competitive. The regular 16.40 is popular as a USPSA Limited gun (with some mods of course).
