I was wondering if anybody knows where I can find a drawing of the scene on a !851 colt?

The scene was roll-engraved as the cylinder was rotated in a fixture. You could literally roll the cylinder on an ink pad and then on a piece of paper and have a layout of the scene.

I have several books that show the various scenes. I will scan a copy of the one used on the 1851 Navy (and also 1860 Army) and send it to you if you will send me a personal message with an e-mail address. I have much better luck with e-mail attachments then I do posting pictures on this forum.

Thank You fred
I am making a presentation case for a couple of my colts and I am thinking of putting the cylinder scroll from one of the Colts in leather for the top of the case.

That's a great idea Bob. I bet you would have a market for something like that.
