Ok, did I just frag up or what?

I wanted a semi decent optic, (that didn't cost an arm and a leg, yeah right!), to put on my new Mako Group quad rail forearm for my VZ-58, (That hasn't even shipped yet), so I looked at MidwayUSA, and after picking myself up from sticker shock on EOtech and such, decided to go with their loss leader, the BSA holographic sight. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=910680&utm_source=bs_bsa_holographic_sight_img&utm_medium=homepage052909

The quad rail says four picatinney rails. Like a dumb bunny I didn't read the fine print ALL the way on the holo sight, comes with integrated rail or works on Weaver style rails.

Alright, can anyone tell me if this thing will fit picatinney rails, are Weaver and picatinney interchangeable terms, or do I need to just send the thing back? I have never used rails before, forgive if this is a really dumb question.

Yes, it will work - they're not exactly the same, but close enough to interchange/work. Good luck & post more pics when finished!

For all practical purposes, except some Goober-mint spec optics mounts, they are the same thing.

Bottom line is the Weaver rail or base has a narrower recoil cross slot then a Picatinny.
Just mount your optics or rings all the way forward against the fronts of the cross slots, as that is where it will end up anyway after recoil slides it forward until it stops there.
