Anyone know of any books/manuals/websites that have good information on what you need (parts, tools, ect.) to build your own AR?

I've looked around ar15.com a little bit.. but.. it's just not the same as good ol' THR :( so I figured I'd ask this knowledgeable bunch.

Basically I'm looking to build a rather inexpensive AR, but I want something that I can upgrade in the future. I know, I could just go out and buy a complete one, but whats the fun in that? I have a lot more fun shooting my own hand loaded ammo, now I want to experience shooting my own gun, put together by my own hands.

"The Gun Digest Book of the AR-15" Volumes 1&2 by Patrick Sweeney have lots of good info.

http://www.ar15.com/content/guides/assembly/lower/

http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to/video/how-to-build-a-stripped-ar-15-rifle-lower-assembly-255593/ (about 13 minutes long)

Those are for the lower. Instructions for the uppers are out there but are less generic.

I realize that some boards can be pretty rough, been there. But unfortunately the best information I know of on a website is found on the same site that is that way. If you check the website and look only at the "Sticky" or "full time" information you will find what you need to build a full AR. If you get stuck or have a question then I would try posting it here to avoid getting lamblasted on another board. :o
