Got mine from SKS Parts Politically Incorect. $54 for all four pieces. Perfect fit if you don't drill out too deep or large. You can also fit the metal butt plate on if you want but it's not drilled out to take the cleaning kit. See pictures of mine at SAR-1 picture thread.

I went with the K-Var black set. Very well made, and US made so they go towards your parts count. You can also get them with the longer NATO spec stock.

I also put a SAW style pistol grip from TAPCO (http://www.tapco.com/product_information.asp?number=STK060223&back=yes) on mine. It fills the hand much better than the original, and has a storage chamber that just fits a broken case extractor, a gas port cleaning tool, and a boresnake in it.

I also got the K-VAR set for one of my SAR-1s and I'm very happy with it. I agree with previous posts that it is very high quality. I do still have a scar over my eye from the installation process. I was holding the rifle between my knees, pulling hard to get the buttstock loose - when it suddenly came loose and slammed into my head splitting my eyebrow open. Scared my son when he saw me laying on the floor with blood all over me. I probably should have had a couple of stiches - but I taped it up with butterflys. Now, when I'm asked about the scar, I just say "AK-47 wound." :)

Doug LMAO! I've had a few boners like that myself, although I do try to hide scars so no one knows hows boneheaded we all get sometimes. Kinda hard when it's on yoour face, so the AK-47 wound is a good cover. Just think, all these boners we hear about are from the people who have the guns! Is that scary?
