My team discovered an old bolt action rifle and I have no ides what it is. The lettering is faint but it looks like the name Chalellera is atamped on it and 1866-74 and M 80 also. It's a smooth bore with a graduated rear flip up sight with a brass butt pad. And from looking at it I'd say in the 45-70 range. No telling where it came from, here in Afghanistan nothing supprises me anymore.

Hmm... Prolly a Chassepot made at the Chatellerault armory in France, 1866-74. Does it look like this?:

I think that is it, but this one has a shorter barrel. Thanks, I'll let the guys know.

Close, it would be a Gras. The cartridge conversion of the Chassepot.
