Looking for S&W M&P15-22 release date info

Hey, looking for an update on any info anyone might have about a release date or preorder info for the M&P 15-22. My local shop seems clueless, they generally are. Thanks.

I was waiting to see one of these in person and was interested in it also. However I came across the Colt AR22 and picked up one of those instead. I'd like to see how the 2 compare side by side.
The M&P will be a polymer reciever while the Colt is forged aluminum.
It should be interesting, especially once SIG has the 522 rifle out on the market.
I might wind up with all 3 of them.

I saw one today in person. Sweet Gun, the LGS wanted $999.00 For it:eek:

That just seems a little steep for me, but then again the prices at this shop suck on Black Rifles.

I would love to see the Smith come out soon too.
