I just picked up a top eject model 94 that was manufactured in 1976, according to my serial number research.

I bought it with a side mount scope ring set and mount. I don't want a scope on it so I took the scope mount and rings off. The screws attaching the mount are now too long, of course.

There are three screws that mount the scope to the receiver. I've identified one screw, the largest of the three, the other two are giving me trouble. I've looked at all kinds of exploded diagrams and am still confused.

The one I've identified is the "Finger Lever Pin Stop Screw". It is the largest and most forward screw on the rifle. The other two are directly aft of this one and are both small and the same size.

Can someone help me with the correct name for these two small screws and the best source for replacements of the correct length?

They are either the "Sight Plug Screws" or the "Cartridge Guide Screws".

Without a picture of the location of the screws I can't narrow it down any farther.

Take a look at these schematics: e-gunparts.com's Win94 Schematic (http://www.e-gunparts.com/schemzoom.asp?schem=0950z94%20POST%2064%20TOP%20EJECT%20ANTIQUE)

and hereis a listing of parts for you to order: e-gunparts.com's Parts List (http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=0950z94%20POST%2064%20TOP%20EJECT%20STANDARD)

The 94 is a nightmare if you don't take it apart and put it back together in precise order. Here is a great reference guide with comparison shots of the screws:

That is the best exploded diagram I've seen to date. Thanks, it looks like they are 26 in that drawing, which makes them the sight plug screws!

Thanks a bunch for both of your help.

Sight Plug Screw.

You can order them from e-gunparts.com: e-gunparts.com's Parts List (http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp?chrMasterModel=0950z94%20POST%2064%20TOP%20EJECT%20STANDARD)

Just scroll down to #26 and click it. Definitely follow Cosmoline's advise and make sure you didn't disconnect something when you took the scope mount off.

Good luck!
