I am getting into revolvers for the first time, any recommended books out there?

Maybe something specifically about the defensive use of the snub nose??
Fundamentals of shooting, etc....

Been shooting bottom feeders for too long, I embarassed myself the other day when I took my S&W 642 to the range.

I have an excellent book"The snubby Revolver" By Ed Lovette. He also writes in Combat Handguns magazine. He is an ex CIA operative and firearms training officer. You can purchase this book online from Paladin Press or call them. It is one of my favorite books on the snubby. One of the most important things about the snub nose revolver is the grip. I have changed the grips on all my snubbys and it helps a great deal in : 1. The shooting contol 2. The retention- it is more difficult to take it away from you 3. It helps in recoil and 4. accuracy. I carry a Colt detective special and also sometimes the Colt Magnum carry--in the waist band. Get his book, you will enjoy it very much. Good shooting to you . sincerely snooperman

Interesting article at least.

BTW, the Blackhawk Speed Classic is a great "minimalist" OWB holster. That and a Mika Pocket Holster covers those two carry genres. I use the Bianch Speedstrips and Crimson Trace 405 laser grips.
