DPMS LR-308 style mags Where to buy & at what price?

My problem is that I just bought a DPMS LR-243 (which uses the same mag as the LR-308 & Lr-260) and can't find any mags for less than around $40-$50 each. Some auction sites have "lots of 10" 19 rd mags for $500 + S&H !! Most retail stores are out and some won't even let me backorder them. :banghead:
I'm new to the 308 mag scene. Have these been hard to find and expensive for a long time? Why are they so much more than AR-15 mags? :cuss:

They have gone up a little but not much. They have always been really expensive.

Wow, $40-50 each is a steal , I paid $65 a mag during the elction, I wanted some right away. Back then they were impossible to find. FOr a while there, I saw them being sold for as much as $90 a mag on gunbroker. Maybe DPMS finally releassed their long awaited production of these mags. You can buy them direct from DPMS for I thin karound $50-60 a piece.

C Products has theirs for a fraction of the price. Rainier has some if you want a cheaper readily available solution. Here's a link:

Thanks for the LR-308 mag suppliers. Both are out of the 20 rounds mags right now but I have my name in anyway.

I was lucky to have order plenty the third week in Nov '08. Turned out to be a group buy for five LR308's and a bundle of 19 rd mags through my local ffl. It took five months for the rifles and another month or so for the mags. I paid a little above wholesale (cash up front) which was a steal of a deal considering what some are paying on GB.
I did see an increase in supply a few weeks ago. A lot of supply on GB and various forum ad postings. Midway even had the DPMS mags listed for $35.00 for a short time a couple of months back. Probably sold them within hours.

The C-Products DPMS .308 magazines I'd ordered months ago finally arrived. Not worth waiting for, they didn't work. Feed lips were wrong and interfere with the bolt motion :(
If you load 20 rounds you can't get it to lock in the gun with the bolt forward.
Suck it up and get the real DPMS mags.

Wally, you should contact C-Products regarding those.
I have 5 CProducts LR-308 magazines that were delivered in January that work perfectly.
