So the title says it all and I couldn't find a way to start a new thread so please if I intruded on a conversation accept my apology - I recently applied for my concealed permit and in hearing so a friend brought over something for me to take to the practise range - It's in its original box and the label on the side says Harrington and Richardson Guardsman 732 - theres also a box of Winchester shells - of course I will buy new ones since I believe these are original and I was told the gun has never been fired - I searched for the H and R site and it brought me to you - does any one know any more about this make and model - I would love to learn all there is like how old - how to clean - it says blue finish so do I blue it - value etc -
Thanks in advance for any info provided

Moved it from Shotguns for you, to the appropriate forum...
http://www.gunsamerica.com/Search/Category/326/Harrington-Richardson-Pistols.htm indicates a value of about $150- $225.

hi, rulbinas! i own an H&R M733--the same as a M732 except in satin nickel finish. mine has a 4" barrel. your revolver is chambered for the .32 Smith and Wesson Long (.32 S&WL) cartridge but will also fire the standard .32 S&W cartridge. of the two, the .32 S&WL is the more powerful, and would be the better choice for CCW.
your revolver is very sturdy and well made. i shoot mine regularly and have been doing so for nearly thirty years. i fire handloads in mine, my loading of choice: 118gr lead flat nose (.32-20 bullet) over 4.0 grains of Herco powder. this is a very powerful load (for a .32 S&WL); right up there with a .32 H&R Magnum. i've loaded it hotter still, but that was before i settled on the aforementioned load. thirty years of hot rodding it and my gun hasn't loosened even a bit.
i trimmed perhaps two coils from its mainspring, for a lighter trigger pull. i fire almost double-action exclusively, and have never had a problem with it failing to snap a primer.
i've also applied red nail polish to the front sight, for better viewing, and have covered the grips and frame with friction tape, in two locations, for better purchase.
the only problem i've ever encountered was a burr in the firing pin hole in the frame. i removed the firing pin and attacked the burr with a drill bit, turned and held by my fingertips.
my M733 is now my wife's bedside gun, kept loaded with six of the same loads i mentioned earlier.
best of luck
