I see it as showing up...

Anyway, one of these is my wife's carry gun.

I bought it for her, and later bought a pair of fluer-de-lay (sp?) checkered rosewood boot grips to replace the so-called "bonded ivory" which is plastic by normal people description.

It's a nice little revolver - a cut above the standard 442 which I also have in that the finish is nice and shiny like a Smith of old. Even the anodized black frame is shiny and hasn't shown any sign of the wear that their other black finish does easily. Hers does have the lock however while mine does not have it. The engraving is machine made, of course, but it's still pretty fine lettering and I even took one of those gold fill pens and made most of it stand out subtly.

Overall, a nice purchase from Bud's even though their shipping department forgot the glass case at first. They shipped it quickly at no further cost once I pitched a bitch, Gurney cursing the shipping people again.

My wife really likes the little gun - it fits her and she carries it in a front jeans pocket. She didn't say so but I'm pretty sure that she liked the "Women of the NRA" recognition too since in general she's a member by proxie, included in my life membership.

I've definitely been glad that I decided to gift her with the little "personalized" revolver.

been thikning on getting the wife one of those also. she doesn't want to carry her detective special anymore cause it is her first gun. gave it to her when she turned 20. (she's carried that thing for 19yrs)
