The other day I found a beat-up Security Six with a 4" barrel at a pawn shop for $150. Since timing, lock up, action, and the bore all seemed just fine I grabbed it. These aren't too easy to find, and I've been looking for one. About 50% of the blue is gone, bu there isn't much rust. It shoots quite well, but could use a smoother action. For the time being I've cleaned it and sprayed it down with anti-rust coating. It is UGLY, but has a lot of potential.
I'm planning on getting the action smoothed up, replacing a few of the more worn parts, and taking it in to be completely de-blued, cleaned, and then given one of the new arctic kote finishes.

I've heard some good things about these. I like the gray/green color. I need a nice .357 for carrying around when I'm at the kennel or around the compound and a rifle isn't possible. Loaded with 200 grain hardcast slugs with the high sectional density it's better than nothing and easier to control than a .44 Mag.
Any other suggestions for possible improvements on this revolver?
