Just picked up a Benelli Nova this evening at a price that I thought was really good, $260.00, Balck Syn, 18.5 bbl, 12g, from my friendly neighborhood Dick's Sporting Goods. My Question is, does the magazine have a plug in it and if so how do you remove it, this info does not appear to be in the lit that came with the gun..I plan on adding an extension to the mag but can't fit more than 2 shells in the mag and 1 the chamber at this time.. the lit states that the mag alone can fit 4-2.75" cartridges, plus 1 in the chanber = 5. But I am only fittin 1 in the chamber and 2 in the mag...HELP PS can you put a ghost ring site on the basic model?

Shotty's are plugged at 3 rounds total capacity at the factory. There is more likely than not a wooden dowel inside the mag tube that can be relatively easily removed... Unfortunately, I don't have a Nova so I can't be sure how to remove it. On most shottys, I believe if you follow the destructions for take down and unscrew the cap on the mag tube, you should be able to access it.

There are tons of people who have Novas here, so I'm sure someone will pipe in shortly with the proper procedure.

Thanks KMKeller, I'm gettin stupid an blind in my old age as the info was in the book all the time, just removed the plug...I couldn't figure out hot to kill the thread...But if anyone knows, can I mount a ghost ring on the reveiver of this basic model? It really looks like the lined rib is just pushed in a slot or may be be held on by screws on the roof of the receiver...
