Standard capacity (pre-ban) magazines for a 19 will run in the 50-75 price range.

The ones I have seen lately have been 85 - 100 bucks, but they didnt seem to be selling too good.

A local shop here said they are made by management to price them 80-100 and then lower it to $50 after a few months and a few people offering $50 or so.

Many shops will price them high (one shop slaps $90 on them all!) - the law of averages says some moron will pay a premium for them, and if they don't, they can always quietly auction them off online without changing their in-store price.

You should be able to get NFML G-19 magazines online, from vendors, for about $54.

FML mags you can find online from private sellers for $65-$75 if you're patient.

I also highly recommend you begin writing your local Congressional represenatives to let them know you do not want any part of the existing Assault Weapons Ban to be renewed or enacted in new legislation.

Then, in late 2004, you would be able to buy all the brand-new "large capacity magazines" you want for $20 each.

UNLESS you live in California, which has its own 'world-view' on this matter, and others (ie, the Constitution).

Yes, but that is California's problem, not mine.

Lone_Gunman,

It may be a local problem now, but watch out... California is a trend-setter when it comes to legislation, acting as a 'progressive' roll model for other states who seek ways to assert autonomy.

Our problems here in CA may soon become your problems.

Yup, NEVER trust a politician. A pol's only allegiance is to himself and winning the next election. And while it might be a stretch to say that most of them would whore their own mother and sister out to stay in office, it's not THAT much of a stretch. In America, we have what's known as pressure-group warfare. The group that screams the loudest, longest, and most shrilly, gets attention. That's why every SOB and DOB who owns a gun ought to be writing letters to their representatives demanding a repeal of the Assault Weapons ban it toto. Of course, that probably won't happen, but we might be able to at least negotiate an end to the idiotic full-cap ban.

BTW, getting back to your original question before the legal tangent happened, i haven't a clue, but there's no way I'm paying that much for full-caps. Screw that noise.
