I sure hope so...:uhoh:
As far as I know, it should be ok, but I'd certainly be willing to bow to any authorities on the topic.

Mike - I have not tried this (yet) ......... but it was suggested to me that it would not be too difficult to take a fired case .... deprime it ... and replace the primer with some nylon rod .. tho I would expect myself to maybe have to turn down from a larger size... make a small ''dummy primer''
This would give something for the firing pin to impinge upon .... and whilst most guns will dry fire Ok .. i always feel ''better'' if there is something ''in the way''.

It's much easier & cheaper to buy & use the snap cap just in case rather than to replace a P7 firing pin ;)

And it would have been emminently cheaper to not buy the gun in the first place... :neener:

I'd use a snap cap to dry fire a P7.
Over here, it's a $2000 pistol.
What's a $2 snap cap compared to that? ;)

I should hope it's safe to dry fire a gun that costs $1,400 NIB these days.
But yea, if I was planning on doing any extended dry firing sessions I would get some snap caps anyways.

Snap caps are cheap insurance against damage on any firearm. Can't imagine any reason to dryfire without them!!! If nothing else, deprime a case, and fill the hole with shoe goe or silicone caulk.
