Is anyone seeing .380 ammo supplies coming back up?

I got one box minus the six that are in my LCP. Hard to keep up the shooting practice without the ammo. I know there are many posts out there about the .380 shortage. Is anyone out there seeing the .380 ammo supplies returning to normal? We are still out around here unless you want to pay $35 for a box of 20. I just wondered if the supply is getting better any place else?

As mentioned above AIM had some yesterday for a couple of hours. I've also seen it pop-up somewhere else recently. Both were reasonable prices compared to most. Keep an eye on gun-deals.com. It's free and you can even sign-up for e-mail alerts in whatever caliber you are interested in. That way you can hopefully jump on it before it is gone.

Our local Wal Mart had .380 (as well as 9mm, .38, .357, .223, etc.) in stock this morning.

A local dealer got a few cases of Winchester 380 in this week. Got there almost too late. Got 2 of the 4 remaining boxes.

In my town, there are 2 places currently with 380 ammo. I was out of town on business the other day; about 100 miles away; and a gun shop there also had 380 ammo. Yea, it's usually rare; but where I live we don't get a lot of hoarding, so most ammo is available. When my wife was visiting her parents, she stopped in walmart for personal stuff. Saw some ammo and bought it for me; TRYING to be nice. Bought me 4 boxes of 380. Unfortunately, I don't own a 380. I was nice enough to give some to a friend who needed some. I still have a box or two. I'm sure I'll find someone at one of the gun stores who really wants to go shooting and is looking for a box of plinking ammo. Personally, I believe that ammo is starting to lighten up. I think the prices will stay high for a bit; but as more and more of it becomes available, the prices will start to drop back. As to, will the prices go back to where they were; many people say no. That's just their opinion which is based on feelings. The truth is; it will depend on WALMART, Academy, and similar stores. Walmart's prices are the same as they were more than a year ago. The 380 my wife bought me a couple of weeks ago was $16 a box at Walmart. If ammo becomes available again on a regular basis, and walmart continues to sell it at $16 a box; then the other gun shops will HAVE to charge their normal $18-$20 a box. They won't be able to get away with price gouging at $28-$40 a box.

Dealer had 4 boxes (100 round white box) at a local show today at $65.
Yikes.
I am still refusing to buy anything at these artificially inflated prices. Want ammo prices to come down? Don't buy anything until they do. Lack of sales will force prices down.

I've had several folks in my gun club indicate that in the last few days they are seeing .380 for sale again at reasonable prices.
If you want some ammunition, find a reputable company with reasonable prices and backorder it. Backorders ARE being filled but it may take a few days or a couple of weeks or maybe even longer depending. But if you just sit tight you'll get your ammo.
OR, you can scramble from store to store, from website to website, getting more and more panicked all the time trying to buy something that's not available RIGHT THIS INSTANT!
You choose.

WM's price on .380 this morning (UMC ball) was just over sixteen bucks per 50 round box.

Was at the gunshow here in Vegas yesterday. The one big ammo dealer that is usually at these shows had several different brands of 380 available. The prices were still a little too high for my taste.

I got some yesterday for 17.95. The shop only had two left. They'd only let me have one. They had all kinds of Pow'rball though. $25 for 20.

Fortunately, I bought up a bunch of .380 brass, primers and bullets last year, so I have enough components to shoot my little Bersa until it falls apart.
But I personally have NOT seen any for sale in a store for months.

There does seem to be more coming to the shelves recently in central Connecticut. Prices seem to be a little better too. Man I hope it's over!

Nope!
The only thing around here is the Hornady Critical Defense 20 ct. for $18.99 a box.
I already have a box of this along with some other hollow points.
What I need is some more range ammo. I'm down to about 80 rds. or so.

No, no, a thousand times no ... not in my neck of the woods, anyway. I haven't seen any .380 since Christmas, and I've been looking at a variety of gun shops and big box stores, upwards of three times a week. It's not good out there.

with 380 components being so expensive I've resorted to using 9mm bullets when reloading 380. The diameter is a thousandth or two smaller, but they work just fine as range ammo in my bersa.

My closest Walmart had four boxes of .380 WWB when I was in there two days ago. But I reload my .380 practice ammo and have plenty of supplies right now, so I left it there for someone else more 'needy' than I am.

Not in my area, see plenty of .9mm, .40 S&W, and bulk .22.

I'm seeing it online occasionally at $32-40 per 50. Twitter is a good resource for finding it:
http://search.twitter.com/search?q=380+ammo
I still have enough that I don't need to stock... unless I can find it at a reasonable price.
If the same seller has 9mm at $19 per 50, I don't see paying 50% more for a smaller bullet.

I live north of Philly. Seems alot of people here are investing in the .32 acp and .380 pocket guns as CCW.
You can get a box of 50 for target at the local range for target shooting. They look like reloads.
No SD that I can find.
No .32 acp or .380 at all at the Hamburg PA Cabelas last week.
I have broken in my Micro Desert Eagle and have a couple mags of SD for it. One box of FMJ's as a back up. That all I need for now. Just won't shoot it.
All will be well.
